tuesday feels like monday.

and we're back from memorial day!
our first little taste of summer!
friday i enjoyed my car and the not so open road.
treated myself to a little chick-fil-a.

saturday i woke up to sesame street on tv.
i also insisted on laying in best most of the day.
amy and i took a trip to anaheim that night.
saw rookie of the year and yultron.
not impressed yultron, not impressed.

sunday was BBQ day.
started at lauren's with bean bag toss.
...a game properly titled "bag-o"
made my way to echo park.
met sarey and amy at the knitting factory.
phillip met us at cinespace.
... then we danced with the devil.

first kitchen 24 experience.
it was B+ ... despite being 3AM.
...and successfully locking my car in a garage.

yesterday was day off/beach day.
phillip and i enjoyed the brisk sunny air in huntington.
another chick-fil-a lunch in carson.
and let's not forget sidewalk shopping.
... and baskin-robbins.

so i found these photos [meganthompsonphotography]the day after the t-mobile sidekick party on the paramount lot [last thursday]. just haven't had the chance to post the amazingness that is... blink-182! it was a perfect reminder of high school and trl... and i highly enjoyed every second of it.

speaking of photos... i had the chance to shoot sara bareilles this past sunday during her long beach pride festival performance. that was... earth shaking. literally. 5.0 earthquake... pre-show! no photos to post for that yet... i used real film! Fuji Pro800Z to be exact. i "bracketed" the shots at a steady 125-350 shutter, rotating the aperture between 8, 5.6, 4.4, and 2. was that my best option? film photo peeps advise...

simple diary.

this morning, there was a box on my desk. inside was my very own keel's simple diary. have you heard/read about these? reminds me of the wreck this journal series [tag karamea]. i got the white edition... which i can't seem to find online... but it simply states:

congratulations, you got simple diary in white.

this could mean that you:

a) like parties. b) are moody. c) dislike arrogance.

consider your desire as realities.

"without precedent, the direction one's path will take is difficult to forecast. nonetheless, you stroll through fields in your most becoming outfits. but with hitchhiking comes decent human shame. disregard your affinity for accesories and aloe vera and let knowledge confront you with alluring obstacles. how sweet."

i'm a very big taschen advocate and fan. the books they publish are some of the very best photography books i own. but this is a diary... i haven't kept one since i was 11. but why not? they're always relatively embarassing/fun to look back on a decade later.

well anyway... before i forget, happy friday!
